VMs virtually never have trouble. Sorry, we had to say it. But the truth is VMs are likely the number one source of our troubleshooting time because they are also the most diverse and the least constant factor in our infrastructures. Diagnostics

There are a number of places we can look when a VM isn’t behaving quite the way we expect. If the VM is not powering on, we can look at the VM’s log files. If its performance is a bit off, we can review the charts in vCenter. Here are a couple of topics we feel will help you troubleshoot some basic VM problems.
