OPERATIONAL CONSIDERATIONS

This section is focused on the usability of vSphere and how you can tune it to your needs. We start by exploring how to make the most of your resources, both at the VM and host level. We then proceed to the ins and outs of clustering and High Availability (HA), and then round things out by discussing configuration management and converting physical servers to VMs.

As usual, we must give you insight into the planning or theory side of things. These sections are highly focused on the conceptual aspects of vSphere instead of the task-level procedures.

In the Implementation and Management sections of each chapter we explain how to implement what we discussed in the Planning section, as well as covering topics that are focused on the management aspects of vSphere.
