9. Keeping Your Work Fresh

Being invited into the life of a family and documenting the birth and first years of their child’s life is a huge privilege. Treat it as such. At each shoot, try to create something that has never existed and something that will amaze people—this will keep you and your clients excited!

So, how do you keep your work fresh and exciting? First of all, be critiqued and critique others—it will help you become a better photographer. Get together online or in person with a group of photographer friends once a month for a critique session. Don’t have a group of photographer friends yet?
