In an ideal world, once you have finished correcting and adjusting your images, you would simply click the print button and out of your printer would pop a print that looked exactly like it did on-screen. In the real world, printing is a bit more involved than that.
Earlier, we discussed the processes of resizing and sharpening. What we didn’t discuss, though, was how to determine an appropriate resolution when resizing. You want to be sure you’re using all the pixels in your image to your maximum advantage. Therefore, choosing a resolution is your first major decision when preparing to print.
