Pretty good & short introduction into PDF format internal details. This book could be used as start point before reading PDF Reference

While the PDF community could use a good introduction to PDF, this book fails to provide it.

This book would have been somehow acceptable ten years ago but as of end of 2011 just fails to do the job. It is not well researched, it looks at essential concepts with a very limited view and understanding typical of what an engineer with an OK background in PDF would know and understand in the late nineties.
