Every app on the Fire gets its own page here, filled with a common set of controls for doing administrative things like force quitting, uninstalling the app, or flushing out its contents (all the contacts in the Address Book app, for example). The “Filter by” menu at the top of the page gives you three options to adjust the number of apps that appear on this screen: Running Applications lists only the open apps; Third Party Applications shows you any apps not installed on the Fire when you first turned it on; and All Applications shows every app currently on your device. If you’ve installed any apps from the Appstore—Angry Birds, IMDb, Netflix—you’ll see ’em here. (Apps you’ve purchased but haven’t yet downloaded to the Fire don’t appear on any of these lists.)
