Safari Books Online is a digital library providing on-demand subscription access to thousands of learning resources.
EVEN IF YOU ABRUPTLY bail out of the iBooks app and jump to another program, the iPad remembers what book you were reading and what page you were on. If you happen to be reading a dense, brain-burning book and want to remember exactly where you left off (or you want to mark a passage for later reference), you can place a digital bookmark or highlight text right on the page.
To save your place, tap the bookmark icon () in the upper-right corner. To mark a specific
spot in the text, double-tap a word to select it (or drag the blue
selection dots around more words). When the Define | Highlight | Note |
Search box pops up, tap Highlight to swipe color across or underline the
selected text. Choose Note to make a digital Post-It note that you can
leave in the margins. (You can also select, copy, and paste text in and
out of margin notes when you tap them open; see Cut, Copy, Paste, and Replace Text.)
