Product Shot: Multiple Remote Flashes

I like tools. This is an old belt sander that my father gave me many years ago (figure 15.14). It makes a great industrial product shot.

I used four flashes for this shot: an SB-800 Commander on my D200 set for - - -, an SB-800 Remote on the left side set for Manual, an SB-600 Remote on the right side set for Manual, and an SB-800 Remote in the back set for Manual with a blue gel.

The two front flashes were set up behind umbrellas and positioned on light stands. I added a blue gel for the rear flash and attached it to a plastic clamp that I modified with threaded bolts (see Chapter 14).
