I’d be happy to. Our four-person writing team was working on updating a 400-page publication meant to accompany the release of our next-generation industrial boiler line. Normally we schedule two months to do an update, which gives us plenty of breathing room and allows us to work on other projects at the same time. In this particular situation, we had some hurdles to clear. To begin with, the engineers made a necessary change to the product, which delayed our start by two weeks. Then, two weeks into the project, one of the writers was in a bad car accident (thankfully, he’s recovered now) and another one who was pregnant went into labor six weeks before her due date.
