Use your EQ thought-feeling-behavior connections and manage your emotions. For example, you might be frustrated with yourself and need to use positive self-talk such as “Remember patience. This takes practice. I will become competent at this new task.” Reflect on the thoughts you tell yourself, and expect some mistakes as you get started. Seek to learn from others.
