Ultimately, though, the techniques we've covered up to now are ineffective if you want to use the event log entries to gauge the overall health of the computers on your network. In this chapter, I want to conclude my discussion of GFI EventsViewer by exploring some other ways to get information about what's happening on your network. Status Reports The first thing I want to show you is how to check the overall status of the event log entries. To do this, simply open the management console, select the Status tab, and click the General icon, located just beneath the tab. A screen similar to the one shown in Figure 16.1 will appear.
