In this chapter, I want to show you additional aspects of using the Configuration console. I will talk about how you can add some additional monitoring checks to the servers you are monitoring, and how you can check the status of the monitored servers. I will also show you how to use some of the console's built-in tools. Customizing Monitoring Checks In Chapter 17, you learned that monitoring checks are performed at the folder level. If you select a folder, you can see the monitoring checks that exist for that particular folder. For example, in Figure 18.1, I have selected a folder named R2, and the column to the right lists three separate monitoring checks bound to the selected folder.
