336 Chapter13·InstallingGFIEventsManager Formatting Your E-Mail Message Regardless of whether you choose to use an Exchange Server or an SMTP Server, you have the option of customizing the e-mail message that is sent when an alert is triggered. To do so, just click the Format E-mail Message button found on the Alerting Options properties sheet's Email tab, shown earlier in Figure 13.13. GFI EventsManager provides you with a rather nice default e-mail message, but if you want to make modifications to this message, it is easy to do so. Clicking the Format Email Message button opens a text editor you can use to compose your message. You can even insert EventsManager-specific tags and rich text. Network Alerts Although GFI EventsManager's primary alert mechanism is e-mail, it also uses network messages and SMS text messages as other mechanisms for sending alerts. Notice the Alerting Options properties sheet's Network tab in Figure 13.17. As you can see, there isn't much you can do on this tab, other than format the network message.
