Not only will this alert stakeholders to potential pitfalls, but it can also facilitate an understanding for the team about the necessity to maintain this documentation. Therefore, your presentation should include topics such as an introduction to the team, a summary of ESI throughout the organization, accessible versus inaccessible ESI considerations, pitfalls or risks identified, and methods for mitigating those risks. With a very thoughtful approach, you will be able to address backup tape inventories or other identification steps, training for end-users to limit storage of ESI to external media, and even methods that could be implemented to improve your ability to search for potentially responsive ESI.
