Two of the biggest network changes include the new services DirectAccess and BranchCache. We will introduce you to both of these services and additional network enhancements in this section. DirectAccess DirectAccess is a new feature introduced in Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7. DirectAccess provides end users with constant, secure con- nectivity to the corporate network anytime an Internet connection is avail- able and without the need for traditional VPN client software installed.
