Rip

Rip

When you first launch iTunes, its library is empty. When you rip, or import, a music CD, you add music to your iTunes library. You can then listen to it on your computer or sync it to your iOS device. But you can add more than just music to your iTunes library: you can rip audiobooks from CDs, you can rip videos that you have created, or DVDs that you own, and you can add music that you already have in digital files.

In this chapter, I’ll discuss how you can fill your iTunes library with content that you already own.
