Dear reader, Bare Bones has anticipated those scenarios. In fact, this has been one of the most-welcome yet least-heralded features of BBEdit for many years: by default, the program automatically and continuously saves edits to a document just in case of an unexpected termination. On the next relaunch, BBEdit automatically reopens such documents and includes all the unsaved changes that it captured. (This feature cannot be disabled.)
