Part 2—Automatically formatting your content for Twitter
- Log on to http://bitly.com/ and register with a free account and sign in, if you're not using your Twitter or Facebook credentials. Once signed in, click on your username to reveal the drop-down menu and click on Settings. Then, copy the API Key into a text editor:
- Now, log on to http://pipes.yahoo.com and sign up for a free account, if you don't have a Facebook or Google account.
- Next, visit http://pipes.yahoo.com/socialmediaforwp/feedblender and click on the Clone button under the Pipe title. Notice that the Pipe title changes ending in copy on the next screen. You can edit it by clicking on the title itself, as shown in the following screenshot:
- Press the Edit Source button located under the Pipe Web Address to access the pipe view and modify it to tailor to your content.
