How to Use Images > Chapter 7: Production - Pg. 161

Production Production is the final part of the design process but many reproduction and printing issues need to be resolved at the outset as they can dictate how images are used. If a design is destined for print production, for example, the stock and finishes to be used need to be considered early on. This chapter looks at these and other factors, such as the potential effects of different printing processes, binding, proofing, and the various problems that can occur when color is used in the production process. Some of these factors also affect designs destined for the screen. 7 161 Opposite: one of a series of three posters by Browns Design promoting artist Jonathan Ellery's exhibition "Unrest" at the Wapping Project.
