Configuring SourceSafe for Remote Access
To be able to remotely access SourceSafe databases you must install the SourceSafe HTTP Remote Access components on the server machine. These components expose the XML web service used by the SourceSafe 2005 internet plug-in to perform source control tasks.
You should make sure that the Internet Information Server (IIS) is installed on the SourceSafe server before configuring the SourceSafe web service.
