Desktop Class Installation 11g R2
Once the Installer begins running it will dialogue with the administrator using a series of screens. After a set of initial screens are presented, one may choose a Desktop Class installation. This is the installation scenario discussed next.
Note
The first time that you perform an installation on a database server you will see an additional screen named Create Inventory. This is discussed as part of the Server Class installation scenario later within this course.
This first screen allows one to configure the receipt of security updates for the database installation. If you have valid My Oracle Support credentials and you wish to configure your workshop database in this regard, there is no objection do you doing so.
