Exercise 4 Collaged research on figures This is a very quick and quite literal way to translate your research into design ideas and not one that is really used in industry very often, but it is an ideal technique to try as a novice designer. It will require you to make several copies of different pages of your research, so use a photocopier or scanner to help you at this stage. You will then need to draw out a series of fashion figures or templates (discussed in chapter 5) onto layout paper or directly into your sketchbook.
