8.1. Extend Blender Functionality with Python

As you saw in Chapter 7, "Python Scripting for Blender," using Blender as a Python interpreter affords the user a great deal of power in working with 3D objects and assets. In Chapter 11, "Python Power in the Blender Game Engine," you will be introduced to even more possibilities when you take a look at incorporating Python into the Blender Game Engine.

However, even this is not the whole story of what you can do with Python in Blender. Python has been specially integrated into Blender in other ways that enable you to extend specific Blender functionality with embedded Python code.
