Chapter 8. Advanced Audio Routing with Effects

Chapter 8. Advanced Audio Routing with Effects

In Chapter 2 you learned to apply simple audio routing between the SubTractor and the Mixer 14:2. Since then, you’ve been introduced to Reason’s other sound modules and effect devices. Some are equipped with only a single audio output, while others have several audio inputs and outputs. The routing possibilities among Reason’s devices seem nearly endless, and making all those connections can be confusing. In this chapter, you will learn how to:

Connect effect devices as inserts.

Connect effect devices as sends.

Create chain effects.

Chain mixer sends.

Use the Spider to send audio to several effect devices.
