Many classic bands are remembered as much for their signature “sound” as for their songs. Think of the one-of-a-kind guitar sound created by Jimi Hendrix, the heavy blues of Led Zeppelin, and the dense synth and instrument combinations of the progressive rock bands of the ‘70s. When you heard one of these songs for the first time, you knew who the band was, because you were so familiar with their unique sound. The same applies to the electronic composers of today.
