Creating an Apple Account

Before you can purchase items from the iTunes Store, you have to create an Apple account. You may be prompted to do this the first time you click to purchase, or you can create your account manually at any time.

To create an Apple account, click the Sign In button at the top right of the iTunes window. When prompted by the dialog box shown in Figure 8.2, click the Create New Account button. (If you already have an Apple account, you should enter your account ID and password instead.)
