Creating an Amazon Account

Before you can purchase music (or even download free music) from the Amazon MP3 Store, you first have to establish an Amazon account, enter payment information, and enable 1-Click ordering.

Setting Up an Account

To set up a new Amazon account, point your web browser to www.amazon.com/sign-in. Enter your email address, check the No, I’m a New Customer option, then click the Sign In Using Our Secured Server button. When the Registration page appears, enter your name, email address, birthday, and desired password, then click the Continue button.

That’s it, you now have an Amazon account. The next time you visit the Amazon website, sign in with this email address and password.

Enabling 1-Click Ordering

Since all MP3 purchases are automatically downloaded to your computer, without you first having to go through a checkout process, you need to enable Amazon’s 1-Click ordering feature and put a credit card on file for payment.
