As the saying goes, “Content is king.” And Soundtrack Pro is quickly becoming another monarch: the king of audio postproduction tools. For video editors, this is a great thing, because hundreds of preassembled music beds come with Soundtrack Pro, right out of the box. (A music bed is usually instrumental background music.) If those don’t scratch your itch for great-sounding music, you can assemble your own unique soundtracks from the huge collection of Apple Loops that come with Soundtrack Pro, sample Soundtrack Pro’s vast library of effects, or visit third-party sites like AudioBase.com to find unique sounds. With all this content at your disposal, you don’t need to be a musician, but you do need to understand a few musical concepts so you can line up your loops to make great sound.
