Suppose you’re not feeling very creative, yet you need a song for a project you’re working on. Or perhaps you just don’t feel like wading around in a bunch of Apple loops hoping to find something that strikes your fancy. Have no fear, there’s another way to make a song, and it sounds professional right out of the gate!
Magic GarageBand first appeared in GarageBand ’08. It’s not really magic, but it is pretty clever: you get nine genres to choose from (Blues, Rock, Jazz, Country, Reggae, Funk, Latin, Roots Rock, and Slow Blues) and a choice of instruments within each genre. You get some flexibility in the instrument choices, but I’m going to show you even more techniques to customize your creation, and at the same time explore some of GarageBand’s more advanced features.
