42 06 Introducing the rat brain robot In the preceding chapter I explained what neurons and synapses do. Basically the chemical composition in synapses changes when some- thing is experienced. This change is a memory of what happened, and allows the brain to interpret any stimuli it is presented with in its environment. Neurons and synapses do not do much more than this.
