5.5. View Range
As we mentioned earlier, the View Range feature requires a bit more explanation to appreciate how it affects what you see in your views. It is applied individually to views, and it allows Revit to choose which line weight settings to apply to elements in plan-oriented views.
NOTE
You can use view templates to apply changes to the view range more efficiently and to lots of other settings too!
