Looking Beyond the Obvious

Talented minority students frequently overlook schools that they assume cost too much or are too exclusive. The Journal of Blacks in Higher Education, however, has collected data over the years that documents that many prestigious liberal arts schools warmly embrace black applicants. The journal compiled the following acceptance list that suggests that cracking some elite colleges isn’t as hard for a smart African American. I don’t have comparable figures for other minorities, but you can assume that the right candidates can also enjoy a break.
