50. Transferring to a Different College

Without some assistance, transfer students are like Alice in Wonderland. They go from one place to another and have no clue about the culture of the institution.

A college freshman who hoped to transfer to an Ivy League school turned one day to College Confidential, a popular online college forum, to ask for advice.

The student shared with the group that she had slacked off during her junior year in high school and therefore her grades (3.6 GPA) weren’t good enough to get into an Ivy League school. She had only been attending a college in Texas for a couple of months, but she was eager to transfer to any Ivy League school after she earned excellent grades in her midterm exams.
