92 THE LEARNING CURVE Punctuation Errors in punctuation are the most common grammatical errors and, amongst these, the apostrophe is definitely the most abused. For example: Londons' No. 1 retailer of kitchen appliances Or, possibly even worse: Londons No. 1 retailer of kitchen appliances The correct usage is of course: London's No. 1 retailer of kitchen appliances If you're not sure what the rules are then there are plenty of articles on the Internet which explain correct punctuation in detail. It's and its are also frequently misused. And you sometimes even see its' ­ which doesn't exist at all!
