4. Define information about the group in the content pane. The definition is made by moving resources from left Available window to right Current Selection window. 5. Click to save the group definition. When you save the group definition you can use it for a quota checking job or other monitoring activities, such as scan, ping, or probe jobs. Editing existing group To edit an existing group perform the following steps: 1. Expand the Monitoring Groups section of the function tree. See Figure 6-6 on page 159. 2. Expand a group type to view the list of groups defined for that type. 3. Click the name of the group you want to edit. The content pane displays information about that group. 4. Edit the values defined for the group as desired. 5. Click to save the updated group definition. 6.3 Discovery To find a new Windows machine which was introduced into your environment, run Discovery job. This job does not discover non-Windows operating systems. For non-Windows operating systems, install the agent before running the discovery job. Working with discovery You can specify when to run the Discovery job and how to alert about any newly discovered computers. To indicate when to run a Discovery job and how to set alerts, start from the Monitoring section. Expand the Monitoring node of the function tree and click the Discovery node.
