Firewalls

Hardware firewalls act like a gate sentry that analyzes packets as they enter and exit a network. It works alongside the routers and switching equipment. Software firewalls close all network ports on a PC and allow only specific kinds of connections. Those are typically web, downloading, email, and other common connection types.
