    Logical Memory

    The first megabyte of memory or RAM is divided into sections: Conventional (0 KB to 640 KB), Upper (640 KB to 1 MB), and Extended (anything above 1 MB).

    Note

    This is ancient thinking about RAM. Every OS handles memory differently and probably not like this. Still, it might be on the A+ exam, so know this stuff.
