Okay, now your gaming goliath has all the basics (motherboard, CPU, RAM, power, and cooling), so let’s deck it out with hot and cold ports. It is likely that your motherboard has integrated ports. Great! No need to duplicate those. You also want to have dual or plural monitors to make the PC a respectable gaming system. The one in my classroom has six monitors. That is going to take some planning ahead and space considerations.

How does your PC connect to your network? Please tell me it is not a slow, laggy wireless link. Portability and gaming are usually mutually exclusive. If you are not planning to move it, cable it. Even 802.11N pales in comparison to 1000BASE-T Cat6 Ethernet. Could it be fiber to the desktop? Check out the availability in your area for that. Remember it is a dream PC. Fiber is going to require a special PCIe card.
