Cisco IP Phone Messenger
Cisco IP Phone Messenger (IPPM) provides the services that give Cisco IP phones an IM client. The client uses an availability-enabled contact list. Users can send and receive short text messages. IPPM includes some standard phrases used in day-to-day conversations to assist with the IM. To connect to CUCM, the Cisco IPPM application must have a user configured. To configure IPPM, you must configure an application user on CUCM and create the phone service.
