Port Groups

The port group manages communications between the phone system and CUC-configured ports.

On the Related Link tab, on the Phone System Configuration page, do the following:

  • Add Port Group

    1. Select the phone system.

    2. Select the port group template.

    3. Set the display name.

    4. Set the device name prefix.

    5. Set the MWI On extension and MWI Off extension.

  • Primary Server Settings

    1. Set the IP address or hostname.

    2. Set the port.

    3. Set the TLS port.

  • Ports

These are the counterparts to the voicemail ports on CUCM.

    • Add Ports to a Port Group

      1. Check the Enabled box.

      2. Set the number of ports.

      3. Select the phone system.

      4. Select the port group.

      5. Select the server.

    • Configure Port Settings

      1. Check Answer Calls.

      2. Check Perform Message Notification.

      3. Check Send MWI Requests.

      4. Check Allow TRAP Connections.

      5. Set the security mode.

When you complete all these configurations, you should have a basic voicemail system up and running. How to test the integration is obvious: Either place a call directly to a voicemail port number or pilot number or press the Messages button on an IP phone.
