Chapter 10. High-Availability NetWare > Understanding the Terminology

Understanding the Terminology

Several terms are commonly used when describing computing concepts. You should be familiar with Novell's definitions of those terms before you take Test 050-676, “Upgrading to NetWare 6.”

Multinode means more than two nodes, which is the minimum requirement to make a high-availability cluster. NetWare 6 includes the license for a two-node cluster as part of the basic purchase, meaning that no additional software or licenses are required to create a two-node NCS cluster. Optional licenses for node clusters 3 through 32 are available separately from Novell.
