Certification Summary
In this chapter we took the DNS discussion from the conceptual overview in Chapter 2 to a practical service implementation and configuration in our test lab.
In Windows Server 2008, DNS service is not installed by default. It can be installed as part of dcpromo process during installation of AD DS domain controllers, or separately via the Server Manager, by adding the DNS role. Core and Full installations can be configured using command-line and GUI-based tools.
