Chapter 9. Active Directory User and Group Accounts
Chapter 9. Active Directory User and Group Accounts
This chapter covers the following subjects:
Creating User and Group Accounts: All users logging on to the domain must have user accounts, and these are combined into group accounts to facilitate resource access. This section introduces the various concepts of user and group accounts and then shows you how to automate the creation of large numbers of accounts.
Managing and Maintaining Accounts: You need to perform a large range of activities when managing user and group accounts. This section takes you through the various account maintenance tasks that you should know to perform.
The heart and soul of any Active Directory implementation is the users who must access the network on a daily basis. A company must be able to ensure that its employees are able to access all the resources on the network that they require so that they can perform the activities associated with their job but not be able to access other resources that might contain confidential information.
