Chapter 6

1. D. A stub zone contains source information about authoritative name servers for its zone only. This zone information is obtained from another server that hosts a primary or secondary copy of the same zone data. Primary zones, secondary zone, and Active Directory–integrated zones all contain complete zone information. There is no such thing as a forwarding zone; only forwarding servers that forward name resolution requests to other DNS servers.

2. B. A secondary zone is a backup copy of DNS zone data hosted on a DNS server that is a secondary source for this zone information. A primary zone is a master copy of DNS zone data and is not used here. A stub zone contains source information about authoritative name servers for its zone only; it does not contain a complete set of zone information. You cannot configure an Active Directory–integrated zone on a server that is not a domain controller. There is no such thing as a forwarding zone; there are only forwarding servers that forward name resolution requests to other DNS servers.
