About the Authors

Erik Veerman

Erik Veerman is a SQL Server MVP, MCT, and mentor for Solid Quality Mentors, focusing on the SQL Server BI platform. Erik led the ETL architecture and design for the first production implementation of Integration Services (SSIS) and assisted with the ETL standards and best practices for Microsoft’s SQL Server 2005 Project REAL initiative. Erik is co-author of the books Professional SQL Server 2005 Integration Services and Expert SQL Server 2005 Integration Services, and he assists in the leadership of the Atlanta SQL Server User’s Group.

Teo Lachev

Teo Lachev (MCSD, MCT) is a technical architect for a leading financial institution, where he designs and implements Microsoft-centric business intelligence solutions. Teo is a SQL Server MVP and the author of Applied Microsoft Analysis Services 2005. Teo is passionate about Microsoft Business Intelligence and regularly blogs about it on his Web site, www.prologika.com.

Dejan Sarka

Dejan Sarka, a SQL Server MVP and Solid Quality mentor, focuses on training, mentoring, and developing database and business intelligence applications. As a guest author, he contributed to two books, Inside Microsoft SQL Server 2005 - T-SQL Querying and Inside Microsoft SQL Server 2005 - T-SQL Programming, both written by Itzik Ben-Gan. Dejan also developed two courses for Solid Quality Learning: Data Modeling Essentials and Data Mining with SQL Server 2005.

Javier Loria

Javier Loria is a mentor with Solid Quality Mentors and a SQL Server MVP. He is a software and business intelligence architect who began his professional career in 1992 as a software developer and system engineer. His work rapidly evolved to the training side, focusing particularly in the XML and OLAP worlds. Based in Costa Rica, he trains customers at locations throughout Latin America.
