User and Group Claim Mapping

A claim is a statement made by a server about a client, such as its name, identity, key, group, privilege, or capability. Web applications use these claims to perform authorization decisions. The AD FS Federation Service negotiates trusts among disparate entities. It allows exchange of claims containing specified values, thereby allowing parties such as resource partners to use these claims in deciding whether to authorize access to its federated applications.
