Configuring Federation Trusts

The AD FS snap-in enables you to perform the activities associated with configuring federation trusts. The console tree of this snap-in includes nodes for the federation service and trust policies between the organization in which the AD FS server is located (“My Organization”) and partner organizations. This section looks at the following activities in terms of a resource partner that has one or more federated applications to be accessed by users in one or more account partners:

• Creating claims

• Creating account stores

• Enabling federated applications

• Creating federation trusts
