VALUE-DRIVEN DELIVERY

Define Positive Value

Agile projects actually deliver most valuable features first and release the new versions frequently, which dramatically increase value.

Waste and value can be considered as two sides of the same coin (Figures 10.5 and 10.6). If we have an option to keep either waste or value, which one we will keep? Obviously everybody wants to keep value. Indirectly, this also indicates that if we eliminate waste that means we increase value.

Waste should be removed (decreased) from the system continuously and value should be added (increased) into the system continuously. This should happen for every Sprint, both at the sprint planning and sprint retrospective.
