    JSR 220: Enterprise JavaBeans 3.0

    Earlier versions of the Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB) specification have been criticized by many developers for its complexity. For this reason, the Java Community Process (JCP) worked on Java Specification Request (JSR) 220 in order to improve the EJB architecture by reducing its complexity from the enterprise application developer’s point of view.
