Always check the version number of drivers for devices in the network server. Check the vendor’s web site for the latest driver for the hardware device. You can always find the newest drivers available at the hardware vendor’s web site. For example, check Compaq’s web site (www.compaq.com) for the latest drivers for Compaq hardware components. If the driver available on the manufacturer’s web site is a newer version than the one you have installed on the network server, download the newer version and install it. Record the driver version for each hardware device in the network server as part of the configuration documentation.
